Editor comment: Congressman Jeff Van Drew's rating for bills 1-10 was 10% as a democrat. His rating for bills 11-20 as a Republican is 40%.
This is a notable improvement. However, a 40% rating is still far below what anyone who took the oath of office should be...
“I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
Let's hope Congressman Van Drew is true to his oath of office and his statement on the Anne Baker's radio show (8/6/20, WOND 1400 AM). Audio below.

Unfortunately, being a "very, very, very good Republican" is not the same as being faithful to the U.S. Constitution or oath of office. It should be!
Jefferson Van Drew - Congressman, NJ 2nd District
Editor comment during the election for the Congressional 2nd district in New Jersey...
Pied Piper or a savior?
Is someone who is a good speaker, or a likable person, the right
criteria for someone to be great for American values in keeping with the Constitution of the United States? Of course not. Just look at recent history and current events to see examples of people with those abilities, but who have proven to be outright liars and even despots. Here are some quotes of Congressman Jefferson Van Drew: "I damn well know one thing, I'm a Democrat and I damn well know at the end of the day I stick with my party." "I didn't leave the Democrat party, the party left me." "I vote my conscience." So, which is it? If Jeff Van Drew votes his conscience, maybe the best way to see into his heart is to look at his voting record. Below is one such record and analysis. Based on this, he scored lower than many of the worst democrats ...e.g.Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Nadler, Kamala Harris, Corey Booker! Once again, voters seem to be given a Hobson's Choice. Why? |
Update- 1/28/2020:
There is a possibility that Congressman Van Drew will demonstrate a true change of heart. If he follows through on something I cannot reveal at this time, it will be a major indication that he does value our Constitution and national sovereignty and is willing to fight for it. That would make MANY patriots very thankful and supportive...we will see. Update- 1/29/2020: Well, either Congressman Van Drew did not communicate the globalist terms included in the USMCA to President Trump or it fell on deaf ears, as President Trump just signed the treaty. People say President Trump would never allow us to become like the European Union, yet that is exactly the direction the USMCA takes us. Heartbreaking. |
Update- 1/29/2020:
During his speech last night at the Trump/Van Drew rally in Wildwood, NJ, President Trump said that Jeff Van Drew was a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Huh? Congressman Van Drew voted for 5 out of 7 gun control bills in New Jersey! Was his NRA rating calculated before or after his votes? Or, was his rating based solely on his response to the NRA's questionnaire (see below)? |

Beware of relying too heavily on ratings of politicians by the National Rifle Association
Politicians can claim anything when filling out a questionnaire.
Excerpt from everytown.org:
According to the NRA, The grade of “AQ” is an NRA A-grade based solely on a candidate’s response
to the NRA’s candidate questionnaire, in the absence of gun-related votes.
A grade of “?” indicates that a candidate did not fill out the NRA’s candidate questionnaire.

NOTE: Everytown.org is FOR gun control. However, I have heard Constitutional Republican candidates complain about this, as well.

Our representatives, Democrat AND Republican, have wandered far from the U.S. Constitution.
We need to hold them accountable.

Motives and intentions are difficult to ascertain, but actions are a leading indicator of what one's motives and intentions may be. However, my experience has shown me that the more informed I become, the more
I realize how much I did not know...which can be very humbling. Then, I need to adjust my opinion about other people and things accordingly. |
As a result, certain people/things I once respected and trusted have proved to be unworthy while for others the opposite is true. So, since all
of us "don't know what we don't know," and we are all a work in progress, anyone can change for the better...which I welcome wholeheartedly. That does not mean I trust them...that takes time and effort by both. |
