John F. McManus was a man who spent his life fighting for his country, first as a Marine, then as a Bircher. McManus, or “Jack” as his friends and colleagues knew him, passed away this week at the age of 89. In this episode, Gary Benoit, William F. Jasper, Steve Bonta, Bill Hahn, and Paul Dragu discuss Jack’s legacy as a patriot and a great example of a man.

John F. McManus, Senior Executive Advisor of The John Birch Society, was born in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Holy Cross College in Massachusetts with a degree in Physics, Mr. McManus went on to serve his country as a lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He raised a family and worked as an electrical engineer. For many years, he was the President of The John Birch Society and was the Publisher of The New American Magazine. Having made numerous radio and television appearances including C-SPAN and Larry King, Mr. McManus is also the author of numerous books and videos.
