John F. McManus, Senior Executive Advisor of The John Birch Society, was born in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Holy Cross College in Massachusetts with a degree in Physics, Mr. McManus went on to serve his country as a lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He raised a family and worked as an electrical engineer. For many years, he was the President of The John Birch Society and was the Publisher of The New American Magazine.
