Where are we headed...a Republic, Democracy or Communism/Fascism?

Our nation was deliberately created as a Republic, not a Democracy.
A Republic is governed by the rule of law and protects all its citizens equally.
A Democracy is governed by the whim of a majority of men/women and does not protect its citizens equally.
However, when Communism/Fascism controls a government, crime is legalized against its citizens...

Note: Written in 1951, this book is very good identifying and recording the promise of Communism versus the realities of Communism in eastern Europe in the 1950's. Then, it offers some very effective solutions, or offensive strategies, to help eastern Europe win freedom. Some of these need to be implemented even now in the USA and elsewhere. However, one of the solutions the author favors to fight Communism, as described in the last chapter, proposes the creation of a "federative and supra-national democracy" ...aka a "United States of Europe." In 1951, this was an appealing

prospect, not unlike the United Nations. As we now know, the European Union was sold as a solution, but quickly became an authoritarian Globalist regime of un-elected bureaucrats, much like the United Nations. Neither lived up to the expectations, even remotely, of many people subjected to their control and abuse...who probably endorsed them in the beginning. Hence, Brexit and other countries who are craving independence and freedom as well as a compelling movement to "Get U.S. Out of the U.N."
